How to Copy a Video URL from Instagram (Reels, Posts, IGTV & Stories)?

Instagram is a globally popular social media platform owned by Meta (Facebook), primarily focused on photo and video sharing. It allows users to connect, create, and share content through various formats like Reels, Stories, Posts, and Live videos. Copying a video URL from Instagram is simple. Follow the steps below depending on your device and type of video.

1. On Mobile (Android/iPhone)

Copy URL from Instagram Reels, Posts, or IGTV

-> Open the Instagram app.
-> Find the Reel, Post, or IGTV video you want to copy.
-> Tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner.
-> Select “Copy link”.
-> The video URL is now copied to your clipboard! You can paste it anywhere (Notes, Messages, Browser, etc.).

Copy URL from Instagram Stories

If a Story contains a link (e.g., Swipe Up or See More):

-> Open the Instagram Story.
-> Tap “Share” or the 🔗 link icon at the bottom.
-> Select “Copy link”.
Note: You can’t copy Story video URLs directly unless the user has shared it with a link.

2. On Desktop (Instagram Website)

-> Open Instagram in your web browser.

-> Select “Copy link”.

Copy URL from Browser Address Bar

-> Alternatively, you can copy the video link directly from the URL bar:
-> Click on the video post to open it.
-> Copy the URL from the browser’s address bar.
